TNT Furniture Strippers

"Follow me and I'll strip for you." The slogan for yet another adult entertainment establishment which has sprung up in the Hudson Valley?

Not at all. This slogan actually belongs to T.N.T. Furniture Strippers, and has served owner Richard Tanner well since he first opened in 1977. Over the past 24 years, T.N.T. has both stripped and refinished pieces for many a client, using their considerable expertise and talents to tackle many difficult jobs and restore many pieces to a state of beauty.

T.N.T.'s services have been called upon by a great variety of clients over the years. Clients have ranged from high profile such as: Eddie Murphy, Eric Roberts, Mohonk Mountain House, Montgomery Place, and Ulster County Court House to the average person with that particular piece which is so near and dear to them.

T.N.T. has a great wealth of knowledge and expertise in furniture refinishing and restoration at their disposal, allowing them to offer a wide variety of services. Their most popular services are those of stripping and refinishing, safely removing all finishes and paint on the piece using a powerful, environmentally sound stripping agent, followed by thoroughly applying a new stain and finish to the piece, restoring it for the next generation.

For those customers with slightly different needs, T.N.T. also offers custom color matching, all types of chair caning, repairs, and regluing, as well as being fully able to duplicate and replace missing carving work, veneer, or nearly any other damaged item.

Though their primary area of work is furniture, T.N.T. also offers kitchen cabinet restoration, and on-site stripping and refinishing. To ease the homeowner, T.N.T. offers free estimates, pick-up and delivery, as well as insurance claims.

To keep their small business diverse, T.N.T. has also added the sale of refinished antiques along with reproduction furniture to their portfolio. The small Poughkeepsie based business also maintains a fully stocked baseball card shop for all your collecting needs.
